2022 HRAGC President's Letter.pdf

Dear HRAGC Members, and HR Professionals:

I hope you are all enjoying a summer that feels more normal than recent years and bringing back traditions while making new memories! I recognize the unique challenges HR professionals have faced since March 2020 and I encourage you to take time for yourself to pause and reflect. Enjoying time with your friends and family is important to feeling refreshed and ready to take on new challenges. While HRAGC programs may be on a brief summer hiatus, our great volunteer leaders continue preparing for an engaging 2022 – 2023 program year to continue to support your organizations and employees.

On the topic of reflection, HRAGC had an incredible 37th year and I am honored to acknowledge and highlight our organization for the stellar accomplishments during the past year.

With your support and participation, HRAGC Board and Committees delivered eight substantive programs this year, issued awards to well-deserving recipients, developed a sophisticated technology platform, and connected with our friends at MAHRA for the Together Again Social.  HRAGC again facilitated SHRM Certification Courses and supported our community through service to the Dismas House and Concord Regional Technical Center.  All these efforts and achievements were recognized by SHRM as HRAGC was awarded the Platinum Excel Award for the third year in a row and for the seventh time in the last eight years!

While we celebrate our past year achievements, I want to acknowledge the work of Elena Alois, who led these efforts as President.  Elena is the engine that moved, and continues to move, our technical capabilities forward. Her work drives new ideas to set up HRAGC as an exemplary SHRM-affiliated chapter.  Under Elena’s leadership, HRAGC implemented the Wild Apricot website structure, enhanced virtual meetings, and helped us answer the question posed to us by last year’s theme: What next? I am grateful for Elena’s ongoing support and mentorship as she takes her role as Past President.

I look forward to building from last year’s momentum and diving into this year’s theme, Embracing Innovation and Sustainability.  The first program will be on September 15th.  I hope to meet many of you face to face, as we will have an in-person program option for some meetings in the Fall and Spring.  In addition to HRAGC’s excellent slate of programs, be on the lookout for information about the Fall SHRM Certification Course as well as the Granite State HR Conference.  Please visit HRAGC.org throughout the year for announcements about notable conferences and other opportunities from the State Council.

I appreciate the opportunity to serve our HRAGC community along with our fantastic Board, and Committee Volunteer Leaders.  If you’re curious about more ways to be involved with HRAGC, please reach out to our Leadership Development Committee via our contact list at HRAGC.org/Contact.

Very Best,

Grant Wege
